Ableton is a digital audio workstation for macOS and Windows. Ableton Live is designed for live performances as well as you can composing, recording, arranging, mixing, and mastering, as shown by Ableton’s companion hardware product, Ableton Push. It is also used by DJs, as it offers a suite of controls for beatmatching, crossfading, and other different effects used by turntablists, and was one of the first music applications to automatically beat match songs. Live is available in three versions.
- Live Intro contains many of the same features as Live Standard and Suite, but with some limitations.
- Intro’s Core Library contains various audio effects, MIDI effects, and sounds which can be stacked limitlessly on up to 16 audio or MIDI tracks.
- Whether you’re onstage or in the studio, the creative power of Ableton Live 10 Standard will completely redefine the way you think about music production software. Its unique workflow, high-quality recording capabilities, and fully loaded toolbox make it perfect for everything from live electronic-music performance to riff-based songwriting. Record, sequence, and loop, all without missing a beat. And with a treasure trove of integrated processors, effects, and instrument sounds onboard, you’ll never run out of options when you get creative with Ableton Live 10 Standard.
- Live 10 Suite is the flagship version of Ableton’s popular music production software. It includes thirteen virtual instruments, 56 effects for audio and MIDI processing, and instant mapping support for a range of MIDI devices.
- This tool comes packed with a multitude of dedicated parameters, so the layout may seem a bit overwhelming at a first glance. However, it provides a help manual and useful tutorials on how to get started working with this program.
